There are times when we need some help. For a number of us, just having someone to listen is what we are looking for. For others, having someone to talk to who will not take sides, who will see our situation from a larger perspective, who can offer suggestions without expectations, is most important. We may have past emotional wounds we have yet to heal. We may have behaviors that are out of our control. There are many reasons for asking for help, where a friend or family member will not do. Having a therapist you feel comfortable with and have confidence in, is important during those times.
You can easily feel overwhelmed by the choice of a therapist. So I am happy to offer this view of my practice as an aide to help you find the therapist that is right for you.
